No, but you could run a 2 step. Make sure you lots of cooler for that trans. and good fluid with the trans brake they will build heat very fast.

+1^, I am almost ready to install my C4, complete with transbrake and 4000 stall converter. I will be using a 2 step module on my MSD to limit rpms.

you dont need to run a rev limiter but if you dont, your going to be using your converter as your rev limiter and thatll take its toll on an expensive part. your better off just getting the 2 step. besides taking job from the converter, the 2 step will let you adjust your launch rpm depending on the track conditions i.e. if the track is prepped poorly you can turn your launch rpm down while still launching at wot

I agree with the other posts but I have set my two step limiter set up to work with my line lock so it doesnt rev to high during the burnout. The converter will keep it from over revving. I have thought about running the two step to my transbrake as well as the line lock and setting it at 3800-4000 ( I run a 3500 stall), just in case something goes wrong while I have the pedal to the floor it won't over rev.

Most people need a rev limiter because their convertors are not made properly. The stall is to high and it drives thru it or the chassis is not set up right to deal with the hit.Same the money on the MSD stuff and just make the car work right.Did you buy the convertor new, if so you can send it back and they will set it up properly after you have run it tell them what it is doing. The quickest and best way to make a car as quick and fast as it can be is to make the convertor work with your engine combo.
