I had the exact same problem as you. Took me two months to figure out, not nearly as long as you. I had done everything, swapping parts from my other Mustang into this one. A couple weeks back I decided to swap out my O2's...just for the heck of it(considering they were still somewhat new; bought in July 09). Took both off. To my surprise one of them rattled inside. Swapped out 02's and....problem solved. My main codes were insufficient EGR flow, lean bank(right and left) and fuel pump relay circuit fault. Just my experience!

Well, the only reason its been taking me so long, is because I'm near my car once every three weeks. haha. So, I try to address anything possible before I get back at it again. This forum is a tremendous help and I appreciate everyone throwing in opinions.

IT"S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE MY LAST POST.

1.) I replaced my MAP SENSOR = CEL is now off (woot!)
2.) Car still has loss of power - but runs better...
3.) That #10 code is a separation code and didn't apply. So, my cyl. #1 is fine
4.) It passed with a code 11 for the KOEO test
5.) KOER test results are as follows:

13 - RPM at idle out of range/low
42 - HEGO (Ho2S) Sensor voltage high/System rich
92 - HEGO (Ho2S) Sensor voltage high/System rich

6.) Several months ago my TPS voltage was reading slightly below the preferred range
7.) My O2 Sensors don't have many miles on them, BUT they've been on the car a while

My question is::::::

Should I replace my O2 Sensors? IS this a flop for some other problem?

So far, everything I replaced I needed, so the only other things that could be it, which are all old parts, are the following:::

Distributor
EGR valve, solenoid, position sensor
ACT Sensor
ECT Sensor
TAD and TAB solenoids

well i would think your O2s are fine, what that code means is that the sensors are reading that the engine is running rich so it is most likely leaning it out. All the O2s do is adjust the air/fuel ratio. Basically i would read the two temperature sensor voltages and you should find your problem, your ACT is on intake runner #5, ECT is on the heater core hoses that run under the intake, near the thermostat. Most likely one of them is gunked up and cant read temperature correctly. Either way, the computer thinks it is colder than it really is and its dumping fuel in your motor, thats why you are seeing "system rich" O2 codes... one thing you can do is clean both of those sensors and see what happens before you replace them.

edit: it wont help any that you are running 24lb injectors... do you have the corect maf for them? as in, is that maf calibrated for 24lb injectors?

Yes, the MAF even says, "24Lb"

I actually was thinking of getting one of those Engine Sensor Kits from 50resto.com but I know that I don't need most of the stuff. It's just that most of the stuff in that kit, are parts that are original on my car. 150,000 miles on them.

But, this summer I plan on getting a new MAF and Throttle Body. Because I bought them USED 4 years ago.

Grantanelli 90mm with an Accufab 75mm Throttle Body.
Not sure if that is too much OR not the right set up??????????????????

But I'm sold on the Accufab (70 or 75)

your o2 heater fusible link could be out, check that you have positve voltage with koeo to the o2's.

It's been a long time...

I replaced my used MAF, the TPS was bad, MAP sensor was bad... that took the CEL off...

mechanic looked at it and says it runs healthy.

Took it out for a 15mile jog and the problem is still there...........................

I am set the problem is ELECTRICAL or DRIVELINE.

POSSIBLE PROBLEM AREAS:::::

1.) My thermostat housing is leaking (which I've replaced twice - those aftermarket things always leak)
2.) tranny tailshaft is leaking where it meets the case,
3.) my optima battery is 8 years old,
4.) clutch worn out?? doubt it though, 30,000miles and 4 years old
5.) electrical short somewhere???

I'm going to replace the thermostat housing (again), ACT and ECT sensors, and take it to a tranny shop to get my leak fixed.

way to much money being thrown at this car.

it has to be something simple. all you need is suck. bang. and blow.

one of the three is messed up.
