Installing E-303?
Well, I just bought an e-303 cam, My motors has about 120,xxx on it. I talked to a couple of my friends around here that also own stangs and they said that my stock springs and lifter will be ok with the cam. My heads are stock.. ported and polished, three angle job. along with ported lower stock intake.
now my question is.. will my lifter and springs handle the cam?
Thanks.

Thanks for the help guys.. I checked my lifters last night and they look good.. I've decided that I'll go get new springs, probably comps or cranes... something under 100 since I'm on an extremely tight budget.

RE: Installing E-303?
Well, lol I have been talking to alot of people about this whole cam thing and if I should replace the springs and lifters.. I looked around alot, I checked out the Trick Flow Valve Springs and the OEM Roller Lifters. I checked mine and they looked good so I was going to keep them until a buddy of mine said he talked to his dad that works for ford and crap and said that I should replace the lifter because I could wear down the came and that roller lifters should be replaced everytime you put a new cam in there... Then he talked about the springs and said he had his in his car and when he hit about 125 it flotted a spring.. I don't want that to happen so I have for sure buying new springs...but now its the lifters I am concerned about?
I'm new to being the mechanic type person so I don't know to much. but if my lifters aren't wore should they be fine? I seriously don't want to put the old ones in because I don't want it to screw up the cam and then I'll have to buy a new cam and new lifters. Like I said though I am on an EXTREMELY TIGHT budget.
I still need:
Clutch
Motor Mounts
Timing Chain
Fuel Injectors
O2 Sensors
Springs
well then lifters maybe....
but that right there is alittle more than 700 and that is alittle more than what I have to work with.
so maybe just alittle more info or some help on how I can check my lifters to see if they are ok?
any help would be apprciated, oh and I'm trying to get it done by July 18th soo... lol
Thanks guys.
