Default 4" X pipe for a 92 Fox

Has anyone ever used a 4" X pipe? If so where did you get it? Any mods to the car for it to fit? Tail pipes won't be an issue. I he is using bullet muffles with turn downs..

4 inch?? Better be making over 1000 rwhp to need pipe that big. Even then those guys usually do not use an x or h pipe. If you don't want to worry about scraping you might want to look into oval pipe, I have seen it but I am unsure where to get it.

Hey B.. The question is not for my car.. My ole 85 is still basicly stock.

The question was for a guy i work with. He builds race motors and race cars on the side. He has a Black 92 Nitrous car at his house that he has been building for over a year for a guy. I have seen the car.. It is rather sweet.. I wouldn't want to even begin to say I know anything about what HP should have what exhaust but the person asking is more of a Chevy guy. Not sure if it's him wanting the 4" X pipe or thats what the owner of the car wants. He says he can get and oval style built. I think he was just wondering what may be out there..

Again, I am not claiming to know anything about big horsepower cars like this.. Just trying to get info for someone if there is any to be had.

Thanx

I know a guy running a TT 5.4 in a 98 Saleen, making around 1050 at the wheels on the dyno with pump gas. He only uses a 3" mid pipe. He's using a custom trans crossmember that allows the pipes not interfere.
