Default headlight cleaning

Whats the best and easiest way to give my worn out headlights a decent shine?

Depends on how bad they are. Mine were not that bad, but even after cleaning them with the off the shelf stuff they still looked bad. Just find a new set.

rubbing compound and a high speed buffer = done in 5 min and look new

as they said there is a kit available in the detail section of most autoparts stores similar to the powerball that connects to your drill. A powerball is also supposed to do this.

When you are done be sure to put a good quality uv safe clearcoat on it and it will last much much longer.

Actually my headlights are not that bad they are just over due of a shine! does anybody know the sanding procedure?

I used 3000 grit sandpaper and wet sanded them them buffed them with mothers chrome polish and a powerball on my drill. You'll be surprised how nice they will stay.I used liquid glass afterwards to give them a little extra. I'm cheap so I try to fix everything before I spend money even though they are cheap nowadays.

Use the 3M kit from autozone. Best kit Ive ever used. Even better than the Meguiars. The 3M kit is like 20 bucks i think.

I did my moms mountaineer, sand paper+ water = wet sand, compound, and buff.
