Adjust belt tensioner?

Adjust belt tensioner?
When I first got the car, i needed to replace the alternator due to voltage problems, and my new alternator has about 40k on it and the bearings are shot. My belt I just replaced about 12k ago because i deleted the power steering and the smog pump, and the belt is shot. The belt does feel unusually tight, but the tensioner is still reading in the normal range. How can I adjust the tensioner to make the belt looser? Thanks?
BASICS:
Belt too tight.
How do I loosen the tension?

so because your belt died after 12k miles you think the tensioner is too tight? sounds like the belt was just old.
push your finger on the belt, if it deflects .5-.75" thats normal. if you push with one finger and it doesnt budge it may be to tight

If the alt. bearings got fried it may be to tight.Although that does happen.

no such thing^^^^^^^^they are autoself adjusting tensioners whose tension is based on the spring that is in the tensioner, there is no loosen it a little, if the bearings went out in the alt , it happens,if the alt was a reman alt...think about it, reman = only replace what was bad and send it back out, for all we know the bearing could of had a 100k on it.... i would not blame it on a self tensioner, maybe if tension were based on and adjustable rod but not in this case

If you deleted smog and p/s why are you even using a tensioner? Do you still have A/C on it? My tensioner is basically a hundred dollar idler pulley.
If not buy a 49.5" belt and be done with it.
Not the greatest picture of my routing, but you get the idea.

Eh...I just looked at mine.Don't see a way that could happen.hmmm
We sell new alternators (not remaned ones) incase someone fries one in the future. There's no core charge either with free shipping too.
