new motor and new problems

i built a motor from the ground up. but now i have some porblems. the first problem is that my ac/heat controls are not swtiching from the vent to the ac. so matter what i switch the **** too it stays on vent. the other thing is the brakes are acting up and i left a post about that earlier today.

check the plastic line along your firewall for a vacuum leak

did the compressor sit for a long time? 6months
