my 88 gt aod seems not to be running the same as before. if i floored it from a stop in the past it would peel out. i took it to the track and couldnt floor it from the get go or it would just burn out. so id go half throttle and get like a 2.5 60ft time. now its been a few months and if i go full throttle i cant even peel out from a stop, just barely anything. i took it to the track and floored it from the start and it didnt even peel out at all...and cut a 2.3 60 ft time. so the 60ft time is better, but its probabley due to im launching it as hard as i can now. i cant figure it out. i dont feel a lack of power or anything. same tires and everything. i power braked it and it still leaves 2 patches. any ideas on what i should check or what it could be?

There are quite a few things that can hurt performance. Like does the car have the original H-Pipe,are the cats clogged up? when was the last tune up done? Has the fuel filter been replaced (super easy on these). Has the timing chain stretched?Are the injectors clogged?

Just a few key things to start with.

i have a o/r h pipe on it. tune up and new fuel filter done about a year ago. idk it just seems weak when i floor it from a stop. everything else is the same. just cant get the tires to break loose anymore. ill try to clean the injectors, anything else i should do?
