theyre def not for show. they do a better job. the only thing i have heard is that slotted are better than drilled due to the heating and cooling down causing the drilled ones to crack sometimes. i dont know how much truth there is to that though.

i do not believe that slotted/drilled stop better they are just less prone to brake fade and warping. but ive had better luck with duralast rotors than these midline brand slotted.
