A balanced tire can still shake a car. Remember see saws, as a kid.

Sidewall imperfections, flat spots, bent rims etc, can all still be balanced and shake a car. Try swapping a known good set onto your car.

Haven't tried that. I'll do this tomorrow. So I'm just going to jack the car off the ground freeing up the tires, then shake them back and forth and side to side?

I had the four tires balanced twice. Well I at least took them to get balanced two times at two different locations. Just thinking that the first place didn't do a good enough job. But they were fine.

has this problem slowly gotten worse over time or did it just start one day?

Slowly gotten worse over time.

Started changing parts; Rotors, brakes, rack, spark plugs, wires, studs ... and the vibrations are getting worse.

I hate driving the car now because of it. I'm ready to sell the car, but I would like to at least get this fixed.

Just checked and I'm getting a tiny knocking when rocking from side to side. Nothing major. Does this sound like a bad ball joint?

side to side could be a tie rod or a ball joint. have someone else shake it while you visually look for play.
