Default need help with my t-5

hi, i just installed a aluminum driveshaft in my 95 cobra and the next day on my way to work i was on the freeway going bout 80 in fifth gear when my tranny started to shake and smoke came out when i checked it out my aluminum driveshaft had fallen from the front u joints had seperated so it i guess it was hitting my tranny and craked the tranny case ...has anybody been trough this was it my tranny or the driveshaft at fault here..should install the same driveshaft with new u joiints or keep the stock..... need help thanks....

I'd have that driveshaft checked for balance, correct length and make sure it's the correct input yoke before I used that again.

Is there locks in the caps?

yes they where clips on the caps ....u think the driveshaft was unbalenced

the caps from the driveshaft fell out so the driveshaft was loose spinning around ..the yoke was still in the tranny

yes but it fell off from the yoke the front part of the drive shaft the yoke was still in the transmission

sounds like the retaining bolts either broke or backed out...thats about the only way that can happen...

+1 on that one, the caps fell out, you didn't break a U-joint, so the retaining clips had to be missing. Do you have pictures?
