Whos Running a High Compression 5.0
Im building a high compression 302 5.0 and im kinda lost right now i have speed pro flat top pistons which are estimated at 10:13.1
compression with a 58.2 cc head and the gt-40 around that but idk about milled .040
and i also have a set of gt-40 irons milled .040 yea it is alot i didnt realize it at the time when purchased the work was already done but any way these are built up already so im gunna use them and my C/r ratio should be kinda high now not really way i wanted
But needless to say i also have a tfs1 cam and gt-40 lower and upper
are the heads gunna be a problem i want this thing to be a street friendly weekend fun/strip car but i need it as a everyday driver to!! is this possible any info would be clutch

Your fuel costs may be more than you'd like, buying premium and all. Measure your cylinder pressure after the rings seat good to see if you can use a lower octane level.

Doesn't sound like you will have a problem. But no really knows until it is all together.
Check your piston/valve clearance.
As far as a daily driver...you will have more problems with things wearing quicker with that set up. Plus gas is going to kill you if you want it as a daily driver.
I'm saving to convert my engine to 10.3:1 ratio too but i don't daily drive it and I already use premium.
Good luck on your conversion.

you could always go with a lil thicker head gasket to drop the cr about a .10...but 10-1 isn't really high cmpression with the computer chips out now can control denation alot better
