a cam will show little or no gain to power without heads and an intake. start there.

no, a cam actuates the valves in certain ways to where you can shove more fuel and air into a cylinder. your stock heads and intake arent going to flow anymore air so the cam is pointless. people do what is called a h/c/i swap. heads, cam, intake, to see a great performance boost, but you only have one of the parts done.

Welcome aboard! Keep the cam you already have. There is no point to remove it. Unless you want to spend your weekend disassembling your motor. Not fun. Granted, the person who had the car before you probably could have spent his $$ more wisely than on an outdated alphabet cam. As for new mods, what is your current budget? Personally, to get started I would start small(mechanical ability is also a big thing to know when it comes to bigger mods). Here's what I would do to get going: 1) remove your air silencer in the fender and plug in a K&N airfilter. 2) With a timing light you can bump your timing from the stock 10 degrees to 14-16 degrees. You may need to run a higher octane of gas. But the car will run stronger. 3) Buy a pair of Summit Racing brand unequal length shorty headers. They are cheap($100), fit well, and give the car a more crisper sound. 4) Throw on a pair of under-drive pulleys. You can get them for under $100. They slow down the accessory drive system, remove parasitic loss and free up a few more horsepower. 5) GET A NEW SHIFTER(if you have manual). The stock one is junk. The throws are long and sloppy. MGW is a great shifter. I love it(about $180) All these mods are inexpensive and will give you a few more extra horsepower. While your car won't be super fast, it will feel much better and more satisfying to drive. Plus your mechanical ability will grow . Then it's off to a H/I package, some gears and a blower

Default Update!!!!

Allright, thanx for all the help and replies..i have an update on the 95 stang. It does have the e303 cam, but also has BBK shorty headers and straight pipes, BBK cold air intake and the ac has been stripped off the car and was in the trunk. Everything else for the engine is stock.
