Default idle at 1500rpm???

I come out this morning and start my car and its fine for about 3 minutes and then out of nowhere i hear my rpms jump. The rpms are sticking at about 1500-1600 rpms. I dont know what the problem is. I dont think its a vacuum leak cause i did a quick check this morning. I drive this car everyday and it is probably the best running car i have ever owned so i dont know what its problem is? Any help would be appreciated!!!

how did you check for vac leaks. did you spray starting fluid or carb cleaner around to try to find a surge.
