Question Changing rear GT lights to LX???????

So I am sure most of you guys know that it is alot harder to find GT (louvered) rear lights compared to LX ones. What I want to know is how involved or difficult is it to change from GT to LX ones?
Has anyone done it? Any tips?

Thanks

Grab the old lens and pull it off. it's just held in place with a few clips and some butyl rope, clean all the old butyl out, place in new butyl rope around the new lens and press the new lens into place.

most people change the entire housing. much easier. just a few nuts inside the trunk and it comes right out.

ok i thought they would be a direct replacement. so if i got an LX lens the light bulbs will just have to be re-arranged right? becuase i thought the pattern on the LX is different than the GT.

mattdel-if i got the entire housing it would literally just unscrew and i replace it?
a kit like this would work? ---> http://www.americanmuscle.com/taillight-8793lx-lh.html
