ok ppl i have a 91 lx, the motor is stock besides headers and explorer upper and lower intake. First it takes very long to start. im doin cycles for cranking for a minute then when it starts it wont hold an idle. when it is running (while im keeping it running) if i try to rev it, it back fires through the intake when it is about to die and i rev a little. and i can floor it or it will kind of limit it self and not get over about 35 grand and you can hear it through the intake, if i let off alittle then it will gain rpms. i messed with the timing one time n got it to idle but i didnt have a timming light, but it went bac to the way it was. i just replaced the fuel pump after it went out on me with a advanced auto parts one nothing amazing, could that be a problem. i just dont know. thank you if someone can help.

noooo that is not what i want to hear. it was fine while i was driving then i floored it then i came to a stop light. and when i started drving again it was acting up. so your saying my timing jumped.

probably not if thats the case run a obd test see what codes come up
