try using the search function, this topic is covered weekly, it all boils down to personal preference of sound

x pipes give a couple more horsepower over an h pipe, but it is rather insignificant. It really does just boil down to what your sound preference is. X pipe creates more of a racy tone, while the h pipe is a deeper muscle car sound. Most off road shorty x and h pipes are under that price.

mm&ff tested an h & x. The x was actually had lower power results, but I'm sure that's by brand.. either way the power loss was very very little, small enough that i would choose by sound preference. I'm running an H now, but personally I would pick an X over an H. I think they sound a lot better than H. Quite a bit more aggressive sounding. The H has a better idle imo, but driving & getting on it I prefer X.

from personal experience, i noticed that an X-pipe gave my car a little moee get up and go, pressure is equalized... one side of the engine fires harder than the other, x-pipe equals that out bringing the exhaust to one central location then lets it go wherever. I do also like pulling up in front of a hot lookin ricer, or camaro, even a charger R/T and dropping a gear or 2 around 40 MPH and blowin some blow-back in their face =]
