351 swap, HELP!!!

351 swap, HELP!!!
Hey guys, I recieved my 1977 351w( Runs soo strong and smooth) out of an FBI Ford LTD2 with a c6 tranny, and a 31 spline rear-end (500 BUCKS!!!!). I have a few questions...
1) Will the c6 tranny withstand alot of horsepower, if not what is a good tranny that wont blow up on me? I plan to rebuild the 351 and put all new cam, heads, carb, and intake on.
2) Will I be able to use any of the 31 spline rear that came on it in my 8.8 stock rear?
THIS IS ALL GOING IN A 1992 MUSTANG 5.0 LX 5 SPD

thats weird that there was a C6 with it. ya, it will handle more power than you can put into it.
is the 31 spline rear end an 8.8" or 9"? im pretty sure it should be a 9". if it is a 9" im pretty sure you will not be able to use it.
