literally just did this yesterday for my first time. 6 bolts hold it to the bellhousing and another 2 that hold the starter to the bell housing. was rather easy, just hoisted it up and wiggled and it popped right out.

I did it with the trans in place. Just gotta work the tranny with a floor jack.

There's also two bolts on the flywheel cover that bolt onto the bellhousing on the bottom.

can pull it with trans disconnected but a lot easier to put it back in with trans connected. Pain in the butt trying to get the trans in laying on your back under the car.

+++3. But, when you put the motor back in, you will have to push the trans back a little bit.

personally I pull the tranny cause it's easier when you put the motor back in to push the tranny up to the motor then the motor up to the tranny

I pulled it yesturday, and I pulled the trans but left the bellhousing on. Just unbolted the trans from the bellhousing 4 bolts and the motor came right out. Gonna do it the same when when it goes back in. Peice of cake to throw the motor and bellhousing in, then lay underneth with the tranny on your chest lift up and slide it in.
