Default 1989 and 1991 gt ???

hello to all. i have question. i have posted before that i am getting a 91 gt for free. the guy who is giveing it to me also has a 89 gt conv. the 91 has 347 stroker kit in it but needs a new bottom end. i talked to him today and he wants me to swap motors. he wants the 91 motor in his 89 once i fix the bottom end. will this work? are the same motor in every way? i plan on rebuilding the 89 motor to a 347 stroker. thanks

yes, other than possibly a minor change in cam profile... ford changed cams almost every year, but there were never any significant differences

both forged pistons, both use e7 heads, what matters is the same
