Default low coolant sensor?

Hey guys I have a 1990 gt and I'm about to purchase a coolant overflow jug.I am wondering if my car is equipped with a low coolant sensor.I don't have a jug on the car so I don't know.if I have to look for a connector how many wires go to it and what color are they?

If you pull the cap off the overflow there would be a long sensor hanging off it if the car is equipped with one. Disconnecting it doesnt put up a cel or low coolant light.

The plug you found plugs into the sensor that extends down into the jug/container. It sends the signals to the light on the lower left of your instrument panel. Many of the mustang restoration stores have the sensor. The cheapest I have found it for is about $50. It is called a low coolant sensor.

Hope this helps.
