Default stock mufflers

so i just picked up my o/r h pipe, and some shorty headers. is it worth the little money it would take to put some aftermarket mufflers on to or is it just going to come down to gaining nothing more than sound? i really dont know how well the stock mufflers flow

It's all sound. Plus, while retaining your stock mufflers you will have little drone, even with the O/R mid-pipe. It will be quiet when cruising and loud when you get on it. Plus they are great for building a sleeper car

yea that kinda what i thought. i know it would proably sound crappy, but do you think i would actually have a power loss if i were to remove the mufflers, and weld in some straight piping?

I ran the stock mufflers with equal length shorties and an O/R X-pipe... sounded fine

its not worth the money to put mufflers on the stock catback piping
