I've got Ford chrome pony wheels on my mustang and was wondering what was the largest size tire I could fit on them without modification. Right now I have 245's and I think anything more than 285's will come out past the wheel well. Does anyone else have these rims and used anything larger than a 245? Thanks.

you cant fit a 285 on a 7in wheel anyways i think the biggest you could go is 255's without going to a larger wheel, i have seen 275's on the back with a 9 in wheel with no modifications

I guess it's not worth it buying new tires if I can just go up 10mm since mine are brand new already. But my fronts are going to need to be replaced soon. I have 225s up there and I think I'll just stick with that size, too.

yeah, im runnin 255's and seems big enough to me. with anything bigger, u have to run a dump exaust or else the back tires will rub on tailpipes!

what kinds of modifications? damn, i wouldnt mind 275's without having to take off my pipes.

you dont have to remove them ive only seen it on 17x9 wheels though

Sorry I'm a couple weeks late but the thing didn't send me an email, here you go. And I saw some 275 tires online that could fit on a 7in rim. With that size it would just about be flush with the wheel well and that would just look awesome. But would I need to get a spacer or somethin?
