Oil Gauge Help
Hey guys i just bought 3 aftermarket gauges for my 1985 mustang because my oil, temp and volt never worked.
I got my TEMP working but i have no idea how to hook up this oil one..
Its a Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge.
It comes with a plastic hose to hook up from the gauge to the engine...
Where do i hook this plastic hose upto on the engine?
I was thinking it would connect onto the oil sending unit but the oil sending unit is electrical i think? So i dont know where now..
If anyone can tell me how and where to hook this thing up and maybe provide a picture that would be amazing!!
AND What gauge wire do i need for these gauges? 12?
Thanks alot guys.. I know alot of you have these gauages!

the tube connects to the back of the gauge and the other end of the tube connects to where the stock oil sender is = remove stoc sender and your kit should of come with small compression fittings and adapters so you can screw it in to where the stock sender was

Okay thanks alot guys. The sending unit looking kinda like a Bell.. Or is that the housing that the little unit threads into? So i would unthread the little unit and rethread in the one that came with the kit? Then attach the hose into that new threaded unit?

Okay.. no matter what i do the thread isnt comming out of the bell shaped sending unit thing? i keep turning and it seems loose.. but wont come out? am i doing something wrong? It was a bell shaped case with a connector on the top of it.. i pulled the connector off and started unscrewing but it just keep turning..

ok never mind lmao. I got it. I didnt know the whole bell shaped thing was the unit sender it self. I figured it out. I just turned the whole thing and it un threaded.
Its such a crappy plastic hose tho.. it got kinked and got me worried a bit but at least it works and reads a oil pressure unlike my broken stock one.. So tomorrow im gonna go and buy a metal hose to replace the plasic one..
How hot should my water temp be running? At idle temp is shows 160 out of 280... is this normal?

use copper tubing for the oil pressure if you want to upgrade.
autometer sells a kit with the copper hose and junk.

good luck. ill be installing a electric oil pressure and temp guage soon too.
160 is pretty cold it its had plenty of time to warm up. do you know if it has a thermostat?
