Default cai install problems

just installed cai and getting poor idle smelly exhaust and a little smoke from exhaust.

the pictures are what i have been running for a while now w/ no problems. Its a pro m 77 mm maf calibrated for 24# injectors.I have 19# injectors but it runs fine.I am pretty sure there is no chip in the computer.when i installed the cai i was forced to use the stock maf housing but still used the same maf i've been using. Is the problem using the maf for 24# and the housing for 19#?any help appreciated

your problem is using 24lb test tube with 19lb injectors. i dont care that it ran ok, its just not correct. now once you have 19lb test tube with 19lb injectors, ensure you dont have a tuned chip in your computer. if all thats done and no chip, you need to run codes to see what else is wrong.

I know its not correct, but i dont think i need 24# injectors yet so do i have to get a aftermarket maf housing for 19's?I do not have a chip and no codes w/ the current setup.its too hot out to reinstall the cai and run codes now, but it has to be the maf housing since thats the only thing being changed right?

well the sensor on top of the MAF housing(if computer is stock and device is stock) is designed to work with stock 19#ers. you can put into stock housing and should run right, if not there is something else wrong(hench running codes)

you can do an aftermarket MAF housing but you'd want to do something like a C&L meter thats made for stock computer but diff injectors sizes with just the swapping of the test tube, not the meter itself.

Is the sample tune removable? Not sure about the Pro M units.
But yeah, it is sending the wrong injector pulse lengths to the injectors since it is calibrated for 24# injectors.

you cannot use the Pro-M sensor in your stock housing.. end of story

put a stock sensor and stock housing in, and run the 19# injectors
