recently my car has been making a popping sound. i was told it was the wires so i changed the wires. does anyone have any solutions. it pops when i accelerating
He is referring to the valve timing. If the chain has moved than your cam and valvetrain timing has changed.
You are referring to the ignition timing. This is changed by rotating the distributor.
A popping sound isn't very distinct. Since the car isn't in front of me, that could be a backfire from the exhaust or a misfire from the engine. If either timing is off, it could cause the misfire.
its a misfire forsure because it pops hard like a littler hitting the engine. so what do you recommend me doing? and how much will be the average price for repair?
