I have one and it was just the 2 wires like FoxGT already stated. I actually did it as a band-aid for an ignition switch issue. But, I ended up liking it so I left it on after I fixed the issue

Where are you located? I have a brick that wants to meet your window and a finger that wans to meet your pushbutton ignition.

Better get insurance.

You still need a key for most setups that people do. The fuel pump & eec relay won't kick on otherwise. In that type of setup the only thing you breaking in without wiring & breaking the steering wheel lock would be good for is putting it in gear & pushing the button. You'd get as far as the battery could last turning over the starter. (assuming you could turn)

I did away with my lock switch just because I didn't want to mess with the key. but I also put a secondary switch in for added safety (which is kinda pointless because I never use it... but it's there so i can beat myself up over it if it's ever stolen) There's a company that makes number pads where you have to supply a 4 digit code or it won't start. All the same, anyone that knows how circuits work would be able to steal your car regardless of either of the setups.

Yep mine has to have the key turned on for it to start. It will turn over with the key off, but won't start. I like it, and I know some people use them to turn the engine over until oil pressure is built up before starting the car. Good luck
