Default will it fit?

I have stock 1997 gt wheels on my car i think they are17x8s, correct me if im wrong. i was wondering if it could get a 315 on the back? i want to leave the 245s on the front but i want more tire in the rear.

yea a 315 will work on stock hight might get a lil scrube if u load the car down

i wouldn't want a 315 on a 8 inch rim but maybe that's just me.

why would it get a little scrub? 315 is just wider correct? or it would be taller on an 8in rim too?

Being wider will make it taller. That is why you usually is the sidewall being different between the front and back when someone has a wide rear tire. I wouldn't put it on a 8" wheel but it will fit.
