Default Mounting the rear end!

I was wondering if anybody knows if a rear axle from a 5 lug stang would bolt up to my '89 that currently has the four cylinder axle in it, or do I just get thehousing from a 5.0 and stick ranger axles in it?

I was hoping that it would. Now I need 94-95 spindles to make the front match the back

an axel from a v8 stang won't work in a fox body 4cyl rear end housing. the 4cyl housing is to small..

I didn't say I was going to put v8 axles in my housing! To convert the fox 8.5 to a 5 lug you take2 driver side axles out from 2 rangers and install them. The Question was if a newer V8 axle would bolt up.

the only problem with the sn95 8.8 rearend is that it is a little wider by like 3/4 inch on each side. which isnt that much of a problem jsut need to run different offsets

I know that after '96 the front spindles were moved out 1/2". Is this the same case for the axle or after '93 did this change?
