my exhaust smells when on neutral is that normal?

I am really more concerned how you get it to STOP smelling when it is in gear?

I take it when your in neutral it smells? Its probably because your running at off road midpipe and dumps. So when you stop more fumes get into your car... Get tailpipes if you dont like it.
