Default car leaking oil.

how do you check for that? i woke up this morning and found a puddle under my car and it's oil is there any way to check for that or do i have to take it to a shop to get it fixed?

EDIT : took a look at it found a tiny little whole in my oil pan any suggestions on how to get that fixed?

tiny holes in oil pans are just the beginnings of a more than likely major rot problem. you could try some JB Weld but chances are fairly good that you will need a new pan.

if you have tiny holes in your pan you need to replace it. more than likely oil is seeping out of the pan even where you cant see holes. bring it to a shop to get it done unless you are capable and willing to do it in your driveway.

he's talking about a hairline crack in an aftermarket pan. you have not stated what pan you have, so we all assume stock. if you have a stock pan that is suddenly leaking, its not a hairline crack, it is ROT.
