i had my 351w before i put the prochager runnin at about 190 degrees. now i got the procherger and it hits 200 like nuthen. i havent let it get any hotter then that and thats not boiling obviusly but it has aluminum heads and im not sure wats to hott for the car. if anyone has a set up like mine and noes wat temp there cars starts to hang out at it would be very helpful and it has a 180 thermistat in it ..thank u

well i dont have a sc but it will heat up faster with the aluminums than it did with cast irons because they conduct heat easier. and the stock thermostat is 195*. that is when it opens to let coolant flow. therefore is can and will run a little warmer than that. so 200 is no big deal. also make sure your coolant system is properly burped of all air pockets.

a 180 t-stat doesnt mean it will run at 180. it just means it will open sooner than a higher rated one and will run slightly cooler due to the water being able to flow earlier.

i personally think ur car is fine. are you using the stock gauge to obtain these readings or do you have a real temp gauge?

Although I do not have a 351, I have a Vortech 302. Without an intercooler I run at the "o" and "R" in NORMAL which is about 200 degrees. My stock GT runs between 205-210 degrees. I'd say you're fine!

if you wish it to run cooler, it'd be wise to run a larger aftermarket aluminum radiator with such a mod
