Default bbk long tubes 5.8

When i put them on i forgot to check clearance when i turn the steering wheel, now that ive tried to turn it it rubs on the bbk longtubes on the steering connection part
the only thing i can think of is when i put the rest of the exhaust on and tighten it, it will move the longtubes back a bit putting stress on them moving them away from the steering
anyon else have this problem? or may have a solution?

shim the motor mount a tad on that side or dimple the header, I have done both before with no issue
