Default F/R manual steering rack

Hello to all, I am considering going to a manual rack on my 1990. The original rack is starting to show its age (leaking, squeeking, etc..). Flipping through the Summit catalog I came upon the flaming river manual rack.

I wanted recommendations & true feedback from people that have made the switch. How hard does the steering become? Is it a PITA to drive? The car has cobra r's in the front (17x8) with a 255/17 on the front. The car is a weekend driver & ocasionally goes to the track. I also have plans to run weld's some time in the future (skinny's & fatties).

Thanks!!
