5.0 starting problems, i need help bad
 

ok so my 5.0 has problems starting, ill give you the rundown on it, ok so we replaced the battery and the little soloenoid on the fender, but it wont start, the starter turns but doesnt engage the flywheel, i know this because i put it in gear with the clutch out and tryed started it, but the car didnt roll, so we tryed push starting it, but it will not start, it stops turning when you push the clutch in or stop rolling, any help anyone?

probably the starter, it might be spinning but it is not engaging. I don't think you can bump start with the clutch out, you have to have the clutch in for the ignition system to start (nuetral/clutch switch).

it will roll if try to start it in gear without clutch, doesnt have the safety switch, but i got a new starter, and it works now, thanks

Ok, how about this. have someone look at the front of the motor while someone tried to start it. If it doesnt do anything or you hear a high pitch whine you should drop out the starter and test it on the floor.
If it bumps the motor and stops, you try again but it doesnt seem to move anymore, take a breaker bar and socket onto the crank bolt and try spinning the motor to make sure it isnt locked up.
Chances are you need a starter....
