lucas oil stabilizer will increase idle pressure by filling in the clearances in the bottom-end of the motor.
+1 I did that with a Mobil 1 oil change. I had an 87 and took a chance since the car was borderline parts car and pulled the drainplug put a quart of motor flush and filled the engine crank case with ATF and started the car until it warmed up. Drained the oil again new filter Mobil 1 synthetic and lucas oil stabilizer and the gauge always stayed in the center since dropped 1/4 the way down from low at idle. Leaked more oil but it worked.

I wouldnt recomend doing that, you can chance clogging the oil pickup screen if its not already I would first remove the sending unit and plug in a oil pressure tester to the sending unit I just did a 351W pickup at work and the sending unit was on the block by the oil filter might be the same idk. I used a mechanical gauge. Let us know what happens

I got the Lucas oil stabilizer and it did not help. Still goes down to 10 psi after driving for awhile. Pan is coming down in the morning and putting in new oil pump. I am praying for good results!

I thought about that and if replacing the oil pump does not work I am most likely just going to sell the car. I do not have the money to do an engine rebuild at this time.

bearing's and a oil pump are not that expensive, or that hard to do yourself.

Not good news for my 89 vert. replaced the oil pump and still only getting 10 psi's at idle after running for about 30 minutes. I think I will be putting the car up for sale. I need a more dependable daily driver. Thanks all for your help. don't worry thou. I will not let you all get rid of me that easy. I will be back with a new to me stang in the near future!

why not just keep it? i drove my previous mustang everyday for 2 years and it would dip below 20 psi at idle sometimes. i also drag raced that car every week.. made over 200 passes the summer of '07.

you really worry too much.
