same design was used from 92-08 basically a sleeve goes over the lower radiator hose and your oil is pumped through that sleeve, and the temperature of the coolant in the hose lowers the temperature of the oil being pumped. |
that cooler is different from the one on this engine. this one mounts on the block between the filter. it has to hoses running off it.
any universal oil cooler will work they're pretty cheap make sure you get hoses and mount it up front make sure you use good hose fittings and their nice and tight you dont wanna be like GM with their leaky oil cooler lines killing engines everywhere from leaking out all their oil
i understand that but i need to know where to hook the two lines coming off the cooler. Its already on the engine i just dont know where the lines go
I know that one goes to the fitting that screws on the in the factory location of the filter on the right hand side of the block looking down into the engine bay. the other I am not for sure because I have never seen one used on a mustang..... not sure why they would even have it in there.... if its a street car..

i think i found out i need to get a special radiator that has a special core just for oil like auto trans
Dude ANY external oil cooler will work! 2 hose clamps on your 2 metal oil lines +an oil cooler of your choice and you're golden. :icon_doh:

ok thanks guys! ill update on the swap as it goes along. im thinkin 306 stroker!
306 isnt a stroker, and that oil cooler you have, is garbage. remove it
