Default 88 lx 02 sensor

so when i was removing my factory exhaust, i managed to knock the black wire loose from one of my 02 sensors. it looks like there is 2 white wires, and one black? is the black just the ground wire? can i just tack weld it to the metal on the sensor? thanks
