We're going to have to do some guesswork here of course, but we'll give it a shot. The first possibility is that the noise could be unrelated to the oil change and just coincidental. The other possibility is of course is that it could be related, so I looked up the Ford engineer recommended oil viscosity for your car and it is 5W-30. You mentioned you used 10W-40 along with an oil additive, (which tends to thicken the oil even further, so it may be approaching an SAE 50 weight oil), which can reduce the flow rate of the oil, reducing lubrication and subsequently causing the noise that is now occurring. Mobil 1 is a very good performing oil and doesn't need any pour in oil additives, nor does any modern oil, in my opinion. Using a pour in oil additive upsets the chemical balance of the motor oil and can have unplanned and negative effects. Adding a pour in oil additive also voids the Mobil 1, (or any oil's), warranty. Some vehicle manufacturers in their owners manuals warn that pour in oil oil additives can void the engine warranty. The Mobil 1 web site specifically advises against the use of pour in oil additives as well. I'm not chastising you mind you, just advising you so in the future you can enjoy the superior performance/protection of an oil without a pour in additive.

I hope this has been of help.
