what can i do to get my car to idle? i have installed an "e" cam before ive done any real research... if i had it to do all over again id prolly have gone with a steada 19... but @ any rate i want to know if there is anything i can do to make this right? short of removing the cam? ive checked for vac leaks.. and if i set the idle @ a rough 750 -900 and put the car in reverse it dies... also the car doesnt want to start unless i open the trottle while turning over... does that mean its starving for air? with this cam does i run a lower manifold vac? can i use a stock computer from a pre 94? or shld i jus accept a sucky idle till i can by a quarterhorse?

p.s. my tps voltage is @1.2 volts... ive egged out the mounting bolt holes to make adjustments but 1.2-1.3 volts is the best i can seem to get... .4-1.5 is within perameters right? do you think this maybe sumthing of intrest?

your TPS needs to be down around .8-.9v

I would start there, then reset the ECM, and do a KOEO and KOER self test

i cant seem to get it down...i even bought a new tps and installed just to see if the internal resistance was wacked out... but i had the same results with the new one.... could my throttle body be mechaniclly out of adjustment causing the tps to have higher voltages.. when i put the tps on it doesnt line up perfect i have to twist it jus a slight bit and i can feel the spring tention....

well after a base idle reset in gear it did seem to help but i still did have problems @ a stop sign as i went around the block... but just one time out of several times goin through park, revese, netrual,drive.... it seems to be inconsistant ... what about the converter solinoid..? should the trans have a load as soon as its put into gear? when does the solinoid engage ? am i way off base? i did have a code 536.... does this have any relation to the the converter solinoid?

when you do the base idle reset, first the base is set, then you shut it off then start it up with all accessories on, lights, radio, a/c, wipers, ect ect.....

drive the car for about 20-30 min and allow all the adaptive strategies/KAM to be relearned and see if it gets better, if not run a koer test and make sure no codes are present
