Default Intake manifold problems HELP!

oki have an 88 gt speed density mustang....i asked a billion people if i could switch to a better intake manifold and everyone said yes....so i bought a trick flow intake manifold. i took out the old one and put in the new one(major pain in the ***** for a 15year old kid with a basic idea of what hes doin) i hooked everything back up and fixed the vaccum hoses that i cracked when taking out the old manifolds...now i start the car and it stalls right away..if i give it gas i can keep it running but it shakes like all hell. ive had friends stand by the engine while i started it and they said the air filter is suckin in hard as hell. Ive messed with the timing a lil bit but have no idea whats going on....its also running rich it smokes and it stained the street black from the exhaust...any ideas of what it can be please im desprete people are telling me to sell it and take my loses but i love the car to death....my dad said it can eb the injecters maybe i got dirt in them or something like that when i took them out but im leanin towards a vaccuum leak that i cant find or maybe i have to convert to mass air flow.....anyideas at all???thnx

sorry to tell you this bud. but on speed density car you cant do anytype of intake, cam or heads, you can only mod the rest of car. you need to get a mass air converserion and everthing will be fine. or get you speed density ecciv remaped but i wouldnt, get the conversion<edited><editID>ohsoquik02</editID><editDate>37944.3361458333</editDate></edited>

Vacuum leak ! ! ! use a bottle of propane run it along the hose connections if it gets in you'll hear the change in the engine, leak found, replace the hose.</P>
