Default AOD T5 Crossmember Swap

I just swapped a guy my AOD for his T5. I gave him my AOD crossmember which had an exhaust hanger on it. The T5 crossmember I got from him did not have an exhaust hanger. I have an H-pipe setup with longtubes. The AOD setup used one side of the ehaust hanger. Do I need this hanger? Can the hanger be removed from the AOD crossmember and put on the T5 crossmember?

I am currently doing the swap also, but it was my understanding that i would reuse the AOD crossmember, but have to cut the mounting welds and reweld them because the t5 sits in a different location...maybe?

I wanted to avoid all of that by just swaping the crossmember with him.

To be honest I have not looked at it. I just noticed that it did not have the hanger when I got it from him.

The exhaust hanger is a separate piece from the crossmember. The welds on the current crossmember can be ground down so each side can slide back and forth making it an adjustable mount. The bracket for the exhaust is not necessarily needed but it does help support the exhaust. I did not use one and alot of the times if you do it causes the midpipe to hang kind of low but that can be fixed by shortening the hangers that are on the midpipe itself and that can also vary by brand. The only one I have experience with that MAC H pipe and I know that would have hung really low. As long as you use the hangers in the back for the mufflers you should have plenty of support and not need to use the one on the crossmember.
