got the pivot arm off no prob, put on the throwout bearing and the pivot arm doesnt seem to clip all that tight onto the socket (would imagine the springs are pretty worn out). basically if i pull laterally at all it will pull right off.

how tight is that ball and socket joint supposed to be?

it just slides in place, the springs aren't there to so much retain it, just keep light pressure on it, once the TB retainer slides through it the TB can't really go anywhere
