RE: aluminum shaft
I'll try that tomorrow when I'm changing the oil and checking other things. I always thought that you were suppose to mark the drive shaft so that you put it back so that you wouldn't run in to this type of problem. I'm going to try it any way and I'll let you guys know tomorrow. Thanks..

blkgt , since this won't cost anything take your drive shaft loose & turn it half around & put it back & see if vibration is gone.

RE: aluminum shaft
You may have knocked the drive shaft out of balance. Go get it checked and rebalanced or purchase the FRPP aluminum drive shaft, that way you lose some weight and you don't have to waste the money on getting the stock on balanced. I'll bet that it some how came out of balance.

RE: aluminum shaft
That's what I've been thinking but really didn't want to go that way. i'm going to try something else then if that doesn't work then I'll start looking for a shop that balances them. What should something like that cost?

RE: aluminum shaft
I'm talking about the big metal weight that hangs from the bottom of the rear end under the driveshaft. If thats still on there you can remove it cause its for stock gears and no longer needed.Do you know what I'm talking about??

RE: aluminum shaft
its the dog bone on the rear. it weights like 9lbs [and hurts when it falls on your nose]
if you have a vibration it could be related to worn outer wheel bearings.. when ppl rebuild rears or do gear installs alot of ppl forget to replace these. also check to see if the axle is worn badly
