Default Will this distributor work for a carb to efi setup?

I already have an aftermarket msd coil, running at the end of my budget and dont want to purchase a costly distributor and controller right now. Looks like this one should be an easy setup.

that distributor is not going to work for a fuel injected setup. the fuel injected engines do not use vacuum advance like that is on the distributor. the f.i. engines computer advances timing based on engine parameters. fuel injected engine also have a control module on the distributor that runs the igniton coil.

One designed for a 85 GT 5-speed will work.

The 85 Gt dizzy has the magnetic pick-up in it that should trigger the ignition. It triggers the Duraspark II box used in the 85 Mustang.
