Gettin a new clutch
I've decided to get a new clutch. My throwout bearing needs to be replaced, and my current clutch is pretty heavy, soi think i'm just gonna get a new one. I have no idea what to get. I know i like King Cobra's, but that's about the only other one i've tried. Any suggestions. thanks

if this is mostly a street car than pedal pressure should be taking into account. the cobra clutch is a decent and you can get a quick ramp quarant for fast shifts

yeah, it's just a street car. i have to drive it home 200 miles every other weekend so...how much would a cobra clutch cost? and when you say cobra, do you mean king cobra, or a cobra clutch. thanks.

not sure, but on my 95 I got a RAM and I really like it, not too heavy duty, and clutch feels great. I'd look up some Ford racing, and centerforce clutches, they're good brands, and make nice street applications. The cobra is a good idea as well, however, I'm not sure about prices. Most clutch sets range from about 250-400 or so depending on which stage you want.

well tiger depends on the way you want to drive it....i have a king cobra cluth in mine and its fantastic....less pedal effort and great for quick shifts....however if you are going to be a hard core driver on it i would suggest a centrifugal clutch...oh by the way a few tips on changing the clutch buddy....replace your pilot bearing, turn your flywheel, and check your speedogear while you are down there....been there done some cltuches...yeah i work on my own car lol, jenna
