Default 88 Runs like crap after fixing vacuum leak

Lastnight i pulled my upper intake to find that one of the ports on the underside were not plugged. I plugged it and raplaced the upper intake and now when i start the car and give it a little gas it cuts out for a second, it seems like it gets a little better as it warms up more but idk. It also seems like its running way rich now. I tried pulling codes but i am unable to. any ideas on what i should check/do ?

you did use a new gasket right? start spraying carb cleaner or brake cleaner around the intake and make sure you didnt cause a bigger vacuum leak. also go back and double check all your hose connection.

No i did not use a new gasket, i replaced it less than a month ago when i removed my intake to paint it. I put a lite coat of rtv sealer on the gasket to make sure everything sealed up nicely. I have minimal vacuum lines on my car, ive checked and double checked all of them. Ill pick up some more brake clean when im at the store but i'm pretty sure that it isnt a vacuum issue.

Once compressed, they often do not reseal. Try unhooling the battery for about 1/2 to reset the ecm. Might run better after relearning.

The upper and lower are sealed up tight. Used brake clean and got nothing.

^^do as lxman said. unhook the battery for a half hour so the computer resets itself, that may help out lots.

Tried un hooking the batt, doesn't seem like it did anything. I was messing around with it today i tried holding it at 2500 rpms and when i hit the gas it would go to 2500 for a sec and with me holding the pedal in the same spot the rpms would jump up to 4000 or so then drop back down under 2500 and it would keep doing this over and over. While that was happening i could hear it backfire out the airfilter quite a bit. Also when i first start it up and try to give it gas it will cut out and start to die till i let off again. Im stumped on this guys, this car ran fine before i fixed the vacuum leak.

What was the port you blocked supposed to be hooked up to?

^^ Nothing. I pulled the intake like a month ago to paint it and that port had a cap on it. I just forgot to re cap it when i installed the intake.
