Default No charge

Ok guys im new to this site so be patient. I have a 89 GT Convertible with a recently rebuilt 302.My question is about my charging system. I have new battery and alternator and the gauge still reads way below average. The car will run good for about 30 mins and then just die. Im wandering if it may be the fuseable link and if so where exactly are they located. Also where exactly does the wire come from that recharges the battery. I have a wire that runs up with the starter wire is that it. If anyone can help that would be great. The battery and alternator are brand new and just to be safe i have had them tested.

Do you have underdrive pulleys on the car? If so take the alt one off and put a stocker on.

you should have two 8 gauge black wires from the back of the alt, to the + post on the solenoid, near the battery.

Ok i'll check it out in the AM, I know its something prob easy to fix but when it comes to electrical im screwed. If the fuseable links are bad can i straight wire it or can i purchase the part at the local parts store.

No the chargeback wires run back to the starter relay on the fender well between the battery and the coil. Then there is the main battery cable running to the relay.
