mild rebuild help and guidance
It's the winter season around here now and I think its the best time to pull my engine and start this rebuild. i have a friend who's taking machining classes and said he can help clean up whatever intakes, and heads i end up using and lend me a honing tool for reworking the cylinder heads. My goal is to rebuild the engine but with some extra power. and i was hoping i could manage to contain all my info in this one thread so i could come back and reference it whenever i needed. I was planning on using a summit rebuild kit because they looked like they had decent products for a nice price. On top of that i was planning on pulling some gt40 heads and the intakes from one of the many explorers at my local pick n pull, along with a nice mild cam. My goal rwhp would be 270 or more. based on what i looked up i feel like this should be doable but i need some clarification on what years to pull the heads from. later on in the future i would consider throwing a blower on it but for now i want a reliable, faster, streetfighter. Does this sound like a decent set up? can i reach my goal? tips, tricks, redirection? thanks for taking the time to read this i appreciate any help i can get!

Well if adder has done it then obviously it can be done. He has had more experience with it than I have. I was just going by what I have heard but I will find out what mine puts down in a few months after I get home. Don't let what I said make you change your mind. While you have them off, get the heads milled, ported, and polished and you will be good.
Great e7's and gt40 work
