Do I Need To Get My Fuel Filter Replaced?
This morning I was turning the car around and the engine shut off while I was putting it in reverse. If not the fuel filter, what could cause this problem?
I just got the car so I have no idea when the last time the fuel filter was changed.
Some help would be nice,
thanks,

won't hurt to change it, but you might as well do a tune up if you dont know when that stuff was changed. plugs, plug wires, oil, etc...
as for your shutting off deal, it could be a mess of things. you'll probably need more specifics to get a better diagnosis. car is warm/hot? any codes? etc..

Should be the same. Pretty simple: Jack up the rear of the car, depressurize the system, Disconnect the two fuel lines, pop out the filter. Although it would be a good thing to replace it since it is so cheap, like MJ said, you need to figure out what you are dealing with. I would take your car to a local parts store and run codes(for free). A no start problem could be several issues: bad TFI module, Hall Effects Sensor in the Dizzy, loose connection, bad fuel pressure regulator, bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, dirty Mass Air-flow sensor, etc. Verify your problem and go from there. Throwing random parts at your car in an attempt to solve the problem=waste of $$. Been there done that!
